Christine Angele, artist and founder of Poetic Portraits, has studied under the masters of our time, such as Frank Covino, who teach the scientific, academic methods of the Italian renaissance period style of painting and other great masters, as well as the proper use of controlled pallets, oils and values.
She uses the verdaccio system (green/gray scaled undertone) for values insuring realism and setting the mood. Adding color with a scaled palette brings out the atmosphere and the luminous quality. These methods of the renaissance period masters are still known as the finest, most realistic, highest quality, well-crafted paintings of today.
